Q:
Why should I get my windows cleaned?
A:
Glass is porous, therefore dirt and grime that is not removed
regularly will eventually become permanently etched in the
glass.
Q:
What makes my windows dirty?
A:
Inside your home airborne dirt from heating and cooling systems,
fingerprints, pet smudges and cooking residue collect on your
window surfaces forming a hazy layer of grime. Outside your
home other contaminants such as dust blown from the wind,
lawn machinery, bird droppings and pollen collecting on window
surfaces will obscure your view and can cause damage to glass
surfaces if not removed properly.
Q:
Doesn’t rain make my windows dirty?
A:
Dirt makes your windows dirty, not rain. Rain passing through
a dirty window screen will deposit more dirt on your windows.
Rain drops simply move the dirt on your windows around and
after the rain dries dirt remains on the glass. The dirt is
now more visible because it has been spread over the window.
Clean windows will remain clean even after a rain.
Q:
I’m planning on selling my house, should I clean the
windows?
A:
YES! According to a survey of 2000 real estate agents conducted
by HomeGain.com and published in the June, 2003 issue of Money
Magazine (page106), having your windows cleaned is the number
one pre-sale home improvement that generates the best return
on investment as measured by a higher selling price.
Q:
Can I have my windows cleaned in the winter?
A:
Window cleaning is all the more important in the winter season.
Road salt poured onto the streets gets turned into an airborne
powder from vehicles driving over it. The airborne dust settles
on your window surfaces.
Q:
Is Tollins Window Cleaning Insured?
A:
Yes. We are fully insured for your protection and ours.
Q:
How do I go about getting an estimate?
A:
All you need to do is call the office and let us know you
would like an estimate for any of our services. We will send
an associate out usually within 1-2 days. You do not need
to be home for the estimate to be done. When the estimate
is complete, you will receive a call from us to let you know
what the price is and answer any questions you may have.
Q: What if rain is predicted for the day of my service?
A:
In the event of light precipitation we will clean your windows
as scheduled.
In the event of heavy driving rains, we will call and discuss
the options with you the day of service. We try to complete
all inside work as scheduled
Q; I just had my house cleaned, will there be dirt tracked
through my home?
A:
No. It is the Policy of Tollins Window Cleaning that all persons
entering a customers home must remove their shoes first so
as not to track dirt throughout the house.
Q:
Do you guarantee your work?
A:
Of course we do! If the day after your cleaning you notice
any streaks or marks on your windows, call us and we will
be happy to return to fix anything you are not happy with.
